It’s been almost a year now since this session. It might be my favorite session from 2014. Really. Living in the desert is amazing. Yes, I love the cacti, love our dry mountains, our gorgeous monsoon sunsets. But I spent half of my childhood in Georgia, with lots of GREEN vegetation. And even though our Phoenix setting is spectacular in its own way, I do miss the green. So when I found this abandoned lot that had grass (say what?) growing like crazy, I had to shoot there. So in the middle of the summer, sweet Lincoln’s pregnant momma and I ventured into this overgrown, almost swampy-looking spot with some watermelons and a few gallons of water and bubble bath and had so much fun. (Easy for me to say, as I wasn’t pregnant in the middle of the hot summer!) She was such a good sport, swatting away mosquitoes and laughing with me at the circus of us trying to get Lincoln’s attention while I snapped photos.
I don’t often have time to blog, so I haven’t posted so many of the more recent sessions with Lincoln: his 1 year cake smash, his mama’s maternity photos, and his new baby brother’s newborn and 3 months photos.
